Katsina, Nigeria: In a decisive move to protect sensitive and strategic forest areas, Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Ph.D., has approved the report from an Investigative Committee that identified illegal allocation of these lands as farmlands. Following the approval, a Whitepaper has been issued, and a Committee has been established to implement the recommendations.

The state government has taken firm steps to address this issue:

1. Individuals who have acquired forest or farmlands illegally are instructed to vacate these areas immediately.
2. The public is reminded that only the Governor holds the authority to approve the allocation of government forests and lands in urban areas within Katsina State.
3. Citizens are urged to comply with these directives to avoid legal consequences.

This announcement underscores the administration's commitment to upholding environmental regulations and ensuring proper land use.
